Bisphenol A (BPA) in baby bottles?
Is anyone else converned about the BPA in baby bottles. I've done some research and learned that the Walmarts in Canada have pulled all bottles made with BPA off the shelves. Walmart is planning to pull the bottles in the states next year. (This is what I've read). I've also learned the plastics with the number 7 in the recycle symbol are potentially dangerous and the numers 1,2 and 5 are OK. I've searched my home and found many plastics with the #7 including gerber baby food. I have switched to Beechnut which comes in a glass jar.
I use Dr. Brown's bottles and I just went out and bought Born Free which were a lot more expensive, but BPA free. I figure better safe than sorry. Is anyone else worried about this or am I overreacting?
No, not overreacting. I got rid of everything like that. I buy water in opaque jugs, I use either gerber clearview, sassy mam ultivent, born free or the playtex bottles with liners. I have all sorts because I tried all sorts and he likes them all so no issues there.
If there was the remote chance that something might contain arsenic, but wasn't taken off the market, wouldn't you stop using it? Amazing how some people won't, huh?

I found out that a standard bottle of baby food contains 16 different pesticides according to tests. I use earth's best organic now, in a glass bottle.
All I know is if I can lower the chances for diseases in my son, great! he already has to live in a polluted world. Why add to the bad things he has to ingest or breathe.
